I don’t see life,
As a race to collect,
More and more experiences,
For the simple sake,
Of collecting them;
Only to be kept crumpled up,
In old worn out pockets,
Or locked away,
In dark, dusty closets.
Experiences need to be
Savored slowly,
Felt deeply,
And stored safely…
Turning otherwise,
Lost moments,
Into warm memories,
Tenderly cupped,
In open and loving hearts.
