There are houses
Of varying shapes and sizes
Cement, wood, stone,
Metal, bricks,
Or even straw…
Made with a carpenter’s dexterous skill,
And an architect’s most intelligent design.
Animals and insects also build amazing
Structures in which to live;
Really, a testament of God’s likha.
While houses can be made with love,
Given all the intelligence and skill
One can muster,
Love, only love, can make a house, a home…
a favorite space for resting weary heads.

You’ve written such a moving piece, Gilda. I love it! And I completely agree, only love can make a house a home. ❤

Yes, thanks! And I believe you can love & “make a house a home,” even if you live alone.❤️
