Reclaiming My Family Tree

How I would have loved to stay here,

Cradled in the warmth of your embrace!

But my wild, warrior soul,

Called me forth, spurring me onward,

To a life of spiritual growth…

Slaying inner demons and

Staring down poisonous snakes,

With fanged teeth, that lie in wait,

In the thick underbrush,

Surrounding my Family Tree…

Guarding truth from plain sight.

My Goal: Never to rest, until peace

and love found a forever home,

In my soul’s “inner” nest.
