Skimming stones,
Across water’s surface…
False pursuits,
Of superficial illusion.
Shiny plastic widgets and what-nots,
Look good to the eyes,
Feel good to the ego…
While devoid of human-heart-truth,
And filled with soul-depth-deprivation.
Sorrow saturating a rotted-out core.
...Changing focus,
Diving deep,
Mining substantial, sustainable Love,
Basking in penetrating yet forgiving Light.
Anchoring new foundations,
Of God’s underlying golden peace.
