If life were only heaven,
I imagine things would be
Lovely and complete!
But how then to transform?
What to rise above?
What thing to unlearn?
When and where to create a life,
If no time or space?
With no place to play,
Or twists of fate,
Just peace, love and light…
Could there be a way to graduate?
Thankfully heaven will wait for me.
And when I’m good and done,
The sweetest chance to re-unite, rest…
And re-ignite, life’s inevitably
Dimming flame.
-Gilda Patricia
Beautiful poetry Gilda and a piece which gives a very powerful message. Whatever our faith, the ups and downs of life are preparing us for something greater.
