In bright-colored jackets,

Waiting for me,

Waiting for me.

Good books,

Never pressure,

Or push me,

To open their pages.

And when I’m ready,

I read as fast and as much,

As I choose!

Gracious books.

So selflessly giving,

A story,

At my fingertips,

Awaiting my perusal.

Revealing richness, depth,

Mystery, secrets,

Beauty, love,

And wisdom untold.

Nothing withheld,

As my interest,

And curiosity peak,

Becoming fully engaged;

Unfazed by daily distractions,

Satiated and satisfied,

Buried deep,

Within the pages.
