Poetry does nothing,
But sometimes it moves us…
Like a sunrise or a song,
Or falling in love.
That ah ha! moment hitting us is
The Holy Spirit moving through us,
In all his glory, each time shifting
Our perceptions,
Unlocking one more door inside our hearts,
Melting one more frozen heart layer…
And finally when all the layers of lies and
Untruth are peeled away,
What’s left but a beating heart,
Fresh and pure as the driven snow,
And just as silent.
