Jesus’ Love

Jesus’ love is an ocean,

It flows outward without boundaries,

Or limits, except for those we impose.

Of the 7-8 billion people in the world,

Jesus would have lunch with any one of us,

Who would accept him.

His love defies human reason, condition,

And comprehension,

It’s illogical and supernatural,

Existing outside the confines of time, space,

And gravity.

He’d even walk on water for you!

Jesus’ love is complex and complete,

But it also exudes a sweet simplicity.

It’s a love like no other,

A love that is meant for you.

Because of Jesus’ death and resurrection,

Are we revived, refreshed, renewed

Rebirthed, restored and redeemed.

This is Jesus’ love.

Claim it.

It’s already yours.

Happy Easter!! Peace, joy, love and many blessings.

Heart of Oneness

Think back to a time you felt Oneness…

Were you in the middle of the ocean, in a tropical locale, with clean, clear warm waters, feeling the warm sun and soft breeze on your face and hearing the gently crashing waves?

Were you on some other vacation?  Were you on a speed boat feeling the sprays, were you on a peaceful lake or in the middle of a red wood forest?  Were you looking up at a full moon?  Were there animals around?  Were they making noises?  Were crickets, frogs or birds chirping?  Maybe you were on a safari and heard some lions, elephants or monkeys?  Can you imagine their noises?

Did you feel oneness during a loving relaxed time spent with family or a friend?

Was it your wedding day?  Better yet, was it on your honeymoon?  Or was it the day you got engaged?

Was it the day you had a baby, or got your baby, or held a baby?  When you first looked into their eyes and saw their smile?

Or was it the day you fell in love?

Looking back further in time, was it a day from your childhood?  Were you carried by a parent, or playing with a pet, or just carefree playing in the street with friends, or at a sleepover?

Now go back even further and imagine the peaceful oneness of being in your birth mother’s womb. Can you hear the heartbeat?

So, if you’re ever feeling anxious, sad, overwhelmed or separated for any reason at all, just come back to your center and reclaim your connected oneness…for deep down in your heart and soul you know oneness as truth.

Unlocking the Now Moment

Between the ticks and tocks of your kitchen clock,

Hidden and neatly tucked away,

Mostly invisible, nearly inaudible,

Found only by faith,

The now moment opens up a brand new day.

A near lifetime of chances,

To get here now and slip through that

Tiny doorway to a new spiritual way.

This door is more of a Light filled crack,

Shining from beyond linear time and space.

Really, the slightest of slivers,

This Light forever beckoning us,

Though sought mainly by the humble or the distraught.

Other’s heads filled to overflowing,

With past and future,

Impressions, beliefs, patterns, fears, hopes, wishes, dreams and regrets.

Too much density to allow in now’s steady stream of Divine Light.

For this reason alone,

They remain locked out.

Time to let go and let God’s Light in.

Living Large

You, most joyful chosen one,

Are free from moods and fancies,

Fickle tastes and passing trends…

You are the Light that shines!

Meditate on the purity of Light,

Found within your own spirit.

A drop of water may have little worth alone,

But met by the fullness of the sea…

Overflows in depth, mystery, richness, power, life and treasures yet to be discovered and uncovered.

Each drop in the greater ocean,

Sharing in its glory, beauty and wonder with indescribable awe…

As the Light of your spirit,

Is a speck of God’s glorious Spirit.

All comparisons end,

When we glory instead in our God given treasures,

The fruits of His Spirit.

Only the humble, the loving,

The believing heart…

Would wish to merge in oneness,

With the greater Spirit.

Keeping pettiness aside,

For pettiness is living small.

Instead embody the peaceful Spirit of God,

And as a droplet in the greater ocean,

You too will Live large.

The Freedom of Faith

Free to enjoy the simple pleasures of life,

Free to find beauty in a forgotten field,

Free to make friends with frogs, butterflies and trees,

Free to fall in love with the breeze,

Free to frolic in the glistening blue sea,

Free to send a pray up to the heavens,

Through cloud filled skies,

Trusting stars wink back and the sun smiles.

God’s universe is His children’s playground,

This is the freedom of faith.

Gigil for Life

(LETTER TO MY YOUNGER SELF):

Had I known

That only by tomorrow

You’d be grown…

I would have went with

My first urge and instinct

To squeeze all the juice and gusto

Out of life

Before am gone.

Had I known,

I would have played

The part of bystander less

Observing less

Instead diving more

Into the deep end

Of the ocean

With reckless abandon…

Not even stopping to

Worry if my hair got wet.

Had I known,

I would have ignored

My second more acceptable

Rational impulse

To pay close and careful attention

To what other people think.

Thankfully, I’m not

10 feet under yet!

Me and The Greater Sea

(This is an expanded version of the poem “Conscious Gratitude” posted June 13 2016)

One day I looked out over the majestic body of water named, The Atlantic Ocean. Feeling very small, in comparison and lost in my own inadequate reverie,  I asked myself and the sea, “What’s so special about this body called me?”

And the sea responding rightly, through the channel of my heart said, “Ahhh, you see me!  Conscious awareness is your priceless human ability, though seeing past pain, a challenge, and finding gratitude, a choice.  Stop now and readjust your vision.”
