Peaceful Dream Reality

Why do we believe,

That places without pain,

Are less real,

Than places with pain?

Could our eyes deceive us,

Into perceiving solid space,

As more real,

Than the invisible space,

Where Jesus Christ Himself resides?

Even the air around you is holy,

Meditate on this with each breath in,

Sending it peacefully back out.

Turn your eyesight inside out,

To stop seeing things upside down,

And backwards.

Rely on insight over eyesight.

Let the well-spring of true life,

Bubble up from within,

So God’s light may be seen,

And His peaceful dreams begin.

This Space and Time

There is space and time…

For a blessed and peaceful reunion,

Of hearts and minds.

There is space and time…

For my heart to beat within my chest,

In love, in joy, in grief, in pride.

There is space and time…

For air to fill my lungs and leave my nostrils,

Tasting life’s breath.

There is space and time…

To accept the flavors of life,

Savoring their richness, beauty and wonders.

There is space and time…

To anticipate sharing love,

Accepting a lover to have and to hold.

There is still space and time…

To live…until I die,

Releasing space/time dust,

And merging back into the re-creation of God’s infinite design.

The Modest Ones

God bless the desperate modest ones,

Who take so little and

Feel so much…

Whose hearts are wider than

The sky, a sweet song

On their lips to sing,

Yet, perhaps an octave too high,

For others to join in?

Alone, for now…

But still connected,

To the universal heartbeat,

Of oneness, love and light.

One day the whole world will

Know their song, when the sun

Peeks out from behind dark clouds,

They will sing their final sad verse.

…Until then, silent daisies in the field,

Perk up and slightly bend,

Toward the modest ones.

(In honor of those who shine their light down on others without exception and without expectation.)

Knowing

…I dreamt I saw you in the water,

And met you in the wood,

Maybe it wasn’t a dream?

Tasting your breath in the salty air,

Your timeless touch,

Carried by the wind,

Tossing my hair.

Crossing the threshold of fantasy…

Close enough to brush away the tears

From my eyes. I dance in

Your sun and let

Your river run through me.

Hands, heart, eyes raised in awe-filled wonder,

Swept up by Your grace.
