Mother Earth Womb

Dearest Mother Earth,

From a distance your form is round and smooth,

Like a womb…

You are the body I breathe life into.

You bear all with patience and tolerance,

You share all with generosity and love,

You overcome all with resilience and grace.

May My life sustaining breath,

Offer you renewed hope, strength and faith,

To carry you through,

Every challenging time and season.

Mother Earth, you are the nurturing womb,

Who births abundant and diversified life,

On your great and expansive planet.

May you be the model for your people,

Of what true love looks like.

I graciously thank you,

For the fruit of your beautiful womb!

Be filled up to overflowing,

By my enduring love and light divine,

Sincerely yours,

Now and forever,

God’s Spirit.

Happy Mother’s day to all beautiful mothers. Sending out extra blessings to my own beautiful mother who like Mother Earth bears all and shares all without complaint, only love. Love you Mom!

Dancing with Spirit

Feeling weary,

Feeling dreary,

Ghouls to my left,

Goblins to my right,

Walking with dread,

Into the darkened night,

Pushed and pulled by raging storms,

Blanketed in fear,

Swept up by sorrow.

Could this be my dance with Spirit?

Building pinnacles of trust,

Shaping arches of hope,

Balancing stones of strength,

Bringing geysers of compassion,

Weaving webs of angelic love,

Growing endless vines of peace,

Filling fields with abundant life…

My soul living infinitely in God’s kingdom,

And eternally in God’s Spirit,

Ever rooted in soulful security,

A heart overflowing in joy.

Best Friend at Twilight

Sunlight shining through the window pane,

Glittering and dancing,

Adding new life to these four walls.

Lighting up the soul with warmth and love,

But impossible to pin down.

Then the steady, stable rock beneath our feet,

No frills or thrills, only what we really need,

Secure, sure, dependable love,

That doesn’t leave,

But builds and sustains life slowly over time.

The sun with its charm and glitter and flare,

Is most adored!

But a life can’t be built on flittering rays of light.

The sun’s warmth is missed when gone,

With value and gifts so obvious to see;

Lighting up rooms and putting smiles,

On frowning faces,

Energizing and enlivening everyone around.

A rock can easily be overlooked,

For it is not glaring in our eyes,

Claiming our attention and affection.

A rock just sits beneath us.

Its gift, its value felt more with passing time.

Yep, still there.  Yep, still there.

 A rock goes nowhere fast.

Its strength and endurance uphold.

And as we age, and lose stamina and energy,

Unable to keep up, with all our youthful dancing in the sun…

The rock is there, providing a safe,

Steady place to sit and rest our weary bones.

Love’s resting place.

Past Level Ground

In the alligator pit of life,

Knocked so low,

With no choice but,

To climb or die.

Ascending,

Tears streaming,

Like cool sweat,

Strangely calming my emotions.

Hands and feet,

Bloody and raw,

From feeling every,

Painful sensation.

Scaling, advancing,

Picking up momentum,

Growing stronger,

More confident.

Buoyed by God’s

Love and grace,

LEVEL GROUND REACHED

Decide to just…keep climbing…

Higher up, with starlight,

From God’s kingdom,

Twinkling,

In my eyes,

Even the darkest night sky…Can’t take me down.
