Unlocking the Now Moment

Between the ticks and tocks of your kitchen clock,

Hidden and neatly tucked away,

Mostly invisible, nearly inaudible,

Found only by faith,

The now moment opens up a brand new day.

A near lifetime of chances,

To get here now and slip through that

Tiny doorway to a new spiritual way.

This door is more of a Light filled crack,

Shining from beyond linear time and space.

Really, the slightest of slivers,

This Light forever beckoning us,

Though sought mainly by the humble or the distraught.

Other’s heads filled to overflowing,

With past and future,

Impressions, beliefs, patterns, fears, hopes, wishes, dreams and regrets.

Too much density to allow in now’s steady stream of Divine Light.

For this reason alone,

They remain locked out.

Time to let go and let God’s Light in.

Fool’s Gold

Would you only,

Know a sunrise,

If it’s golden tones,

Were real nuggets,

Of gold?

Or a rainbow,

If it’s green hues,

Were cold, hard,

Dollar bills?

And if a thousand,

Sand dollars,

Were strewn,

Across the beach,

Glistening in the sun,

Like silver;

Would they need to be,

Susan B. Anthony,

To catch your eye?

The worth,

Of the stars,

The sky,

And the sea,

Is unknown,

To one,

Who’s heart is a sieve;

Merely panning the horizon,

For some “choice”commodity.

Surmising the only thing,

Of value (in the world),

Is that which,

Can be bought and sold,

 Sieves out,

All the beauty,

Wonder and awe,

From my brain,

Replacing it instead…

With frozen little chunks of empty lies,

A life of real worth, devoid.
