My Dear God, Gratitude Letter

                                                     

                    Because my soul’s destiny is held securely in Your hands,

                    I thank You.

                    Because the sunlight’s gentle warmth,

                    Streams lightly across my face,

                     I thank You.

                    Because the birds sweetest songs,

                    Chime gently on my ear drums,

                    I thank You.

                    Because I have a soft, safe resting space,

                    To call home,

                    I thank You.

                    Because I have family and friends,

                    Who brighten and lighten my load,

                    I thank You.

                    Because I have strong health, life-giving breath,

                    And the capacity to do good this day,

                    I thank You.

                    Of the many wonderful things life

                    Has offered me thus far,

                    The greatest of these, is Your

                     Unconditional love,

                     Without which I’d have nothing,

                     Know nothing and be nothing at all.

Love Beyond Doubt

You are loved beyond a 

Shadow of a doubt…

No matter what you did,

Or didn’t do,

No matter how you look,

Or don’t look,

No matter what you have,

Or don’t have,

No matter what, know that

Right here and now,

Beyond a shadow of any doubt…

You are loved, my friend,

For God’s universal love is

Loving you.

Jesus, Why?

No one told You to give up your life,

No one told You to die,

No one told You to forgive all our sins,

To carry Your cross to Your grave,

For life eternally ours.

So Jesus, I’d just like to ask, why?

No answer followed,

Just the gasp of a final breath,

And the proof of a love

Which could be no greater.

A Love Letter

Dear God,

You show me things I’ve never seen, touching my heart in ways it’s never been touched, with pure acceptance and forgiveness.  You answer my deepest, most secret heart desires.  Most people walking this earth have yet to experience this kind of love.  Only your love is fully unconditional and eternal.  

Desperately depending on another for love is random and risky.  More than risky, it’s fool-hearty!  Humans are human with animal natures, weaknesses and personal agendas.  It’s very hard to rise above our wants, our desire to feel good.  Only God is God, so only God can save us, and on God alone we must depend!  We desire a perfect kind of love, soul mate, twin flame.  But two human beings are just that, two complex, individual, intricate humans, “with flaws.”  How can two people be forever lovers, with forever hot flaming hearts?  This type of passion is temporary at best.  Even Titanic’s Rose and Jack would grow bored and weary with everyday living!

But God’s love lives on and on forever, never waning.  Gifting me, and showering me with endless love.  God lights my soul’s flame with joy, awe, miracles and wonder.  From the depths of His eternal love and wisdom, an overflow of insights and riches to discover…an unending mystery unraveling.  OK, God You win!  There’s no love like Your love.  This young soul world is sadly mistaken, having been misdirected to a life of dissatisfaction…seeking unconditional and eternal adoration from a perfect mate and lover.  

…And yet, this desire is normal and not wrong!  It’s our earthly destiny.  Forgiveness the only key.

Love me.

Souls-are Powered

Soul to soul,

Heart to heart,

Rays of love energizing humanity…

Sending streams of serenity,

Hope, joy and unity.

 

Souls are strengthened by,

“Spirit Power,“

Ending need for,

Artificial power surges,

Of ego and vanity.

 

Accept the One,

True-Power-Source,

Get free,

Endlessly available,

Fully accessible Love…

 

God estimated you’re already deserving,

Of a Spirit-Powered soul.

Your last bit of will, 

And hope need not be drained,

Before making that call.

Shadow Marriage

Living in the ring, 

Of inescapable loss.

Pain, despair and sorrow,

Seeping in and closing down.

 

Driven by fear,

Yet directed by love…

Down deep… deeper still,

Into shadowlands, all my own.

 

There finding,

Having and holding,

Newly cherished,

Pieces of my phantom heart.

 

Shadow and I,

As one, made whole,

Parting in death, maybe not?

No mortal to separate.

 

Light rising up,

From delusion’s and,

 Confusion’s

Abysmal depths.

 

Once upon a time,

At a loss…

God’s kingdom contained within,

From this day forth.

 

Enveloped,

In ring,

Of inescapable,

Unconditional Love.

This is not Unconditional Love

What’s more romantic than,

Giving yourself away,

For love?

 

What’s more meaningful?

What more is there worth,

Living for?

 

My mind is your mind,

My soul is your soul,

We are of one heart,

One body, one life;

Once my only wish.

 

But love doesn’t require,

Giving myself away;

Only God is capable,

Of surviving,

That sacrifice.

 

God protected me,

From myself;

 Set me on a healing path,

So many years ago,

Against my smaller will.

 

Thank You God,

For showing me,

 Real Unconditional love.
