Just…Spring?

Just the other day, I took a walk in the rain. Why? With spring’s arrival and the enticing warmer weather, I newly decided on taking regular walks for fun and fitness.

So my umbrella and I went off on a leisurely stroll down the block…

I was happy to be out walking again, but I must sadly admit to entertaining a slightly selfish thought. My secret wish was that the rain would magically stop just for me, instead of gifting the newly blooming flowers with an enjoyably fresh drink.

Determined to let secret wishes go, allow the elements to just be, (namely the rain), and simply get on with it, one particular word appeared in the forefront of my mind …Just.

Yes, just…period. Just, and nothing more.

Just. That one word felt relaxing even soothing to me, so I let it soak in and marinate in my brain cells some more…

Just.

I breathed deeply as I walked, thinking of just this one word between breaths,

Just…without a verb tacked on the end, like “Just do it!” or “Just stop raining.” Not adverbs or adjectives either, just, just.

Then about ten minutes later, and feeling more refreshed then ever, a new thought came to me…Just here. That felt relaxing too. So I continued following the just word with some other nouns…

Just now.

Just me.

Just a walk.

Just rain.

Yes, even that thought felt relaxing! I stopped judging the rain, and everything else for that matter, for at least a few moments in time. I continued on with my walk and just my just thoughts…

Just my umbrella.

Just dry.

Just air.

Just a puddle.

Just birds.

Just a song.

Just then I arrived home from my walk feeling lighter and freer then when I began, especially about the rain. After all, it was…

Just spring!

Christ’ True Love Light

It can be hard to tell what’s real,

From what’s not,

Besides the fact that,

What’s true for you,

And what’s true for me,

Could be a million miles away…

A distance great enough to form a chasm,

A million miles deep,

Or make a million children weep,

Or arouse a million sleepy bears,

From hibernation,

Or stir up the waters of an entire ocean.

But there’s really only one truth worth mentioning here,

And that is the love light of Christ,

Shining down so that we might absorb,

And reflect this love light back out,

Into our world…

For Christ’ love light alone,

Is strong enough to disintegrate every barrier,

Bridge every chasm,

Offer deep rest and perfect healing peace,

Dry every tear,

Or calm an entire ocean.

For Christ’ love light raises us swiftly,

To higher ground…

Placing us in that holy meeting space,

Midway between,

My truth and yours…

May we go there now.

A blessed and holy St. Valentines day to my Word Press family and greater world family.

The Deep Still Pool

A New Year’s Reflection…

Mind chatter settles down,

Revealing deeper thoughts,

Higher vision found, in

Clarifying moments,

A gateway,

Unlocking life’s greater mysteries…

Sincere acts of contrition,

Release animosity,

Hope and serenity reverberate

Creating a more meaningful existence,

For each spiritual seeker,

On a loving mission,

With serendipity naturally flowing,

Ushering in health, wealth, harmony, and healing

Gentle hearts intertwined,

In sovereign unity,

Viewing the world as one spiritual family,

A loving contribution to society.

Happy, healthy, peaceful and beautiful New Year to Word Press family!

Humble Abode

At Christmastime, I’m reminded of the peace, love, and joy

 That comes from reflection upon,

The humble heart of baby Jesus and the Holy family.

 For the divine mystery,

 Of Jesus’ humble heart,

Makes deep healing possible.

And so, this Christmas,

With the renewed birth of Jesus,

I pray for deep generational heart healing,

Wealth and well-being,

For my family, the world family, the earth and all her creatures.

Jesus is a true reminder,

That a humble heart, birthed in a humble abode,

Has the surprising potential for a rich and fruitful life,

Nestled in the eternal love and light of God’s kingdom.

Merry Christmas with love,

Heaven Sent

A walking miracle,

& friend to the end

Because to you, the little things,

Always meant a lot.

Our angel now in heaven,

In blessed peace may you rest,

Back to your forever Home,

Mom, Nana, Aunt, Cousin, Sister, Friend,

Great grandma,

We’ll always love you!

You truly were…

Heaven sent

The Eyes Know

Your eyes are the window,

To the heavens,

They contain a galaxy of stars…

Beautiful, intuitive soul!

I’ve met you before,

And we’ll meet again soon…

This I know.

Such heavenly days,

And heavenly ways,

Propel my spirit,

To dance with butterflies,

Lock eyes with fireflies,

Be electrified by ocean sprays,

And dazzled by sun rays…

Your love has lifted me higher,

Removing blinders,

To wonder and awe…

I’m Spirit’s daughter now,

Because I gazed into knowing eyes,

Kind eyes, your eyes.

Butterfly Soul

God has already paved a way for us, each of our paths already set and protected, I’ve heard this said.

I thought this notion sounded quite beautiful,

So walking on the boardwalk I imagined the possibility of finding clues of this path…

written in the clouds?

or…glistening in the stars?

or…or…

Right then a monarch butterfly blew with the wind straight for me,

And I happily ducked,

“Right!” I thought,

“or…spoken in the wind.” Truly beautiful.

Like a butterfly buoyed by a soft, summer breeze,

I imagine our own beautiful souls are also kept forever,

Safe and sound in God’s eternal, protective spirit.

(This poem is dedicated to Cathy and her beautiful butterfly soul at this somber time of her passing.)

Eternally

No opportunist, nor giver-upper,

High and dry,

God will not leave you.

With divine patience,

And love supreme,

God waits on you…

Even after the jig is up,

The bell tolls,

The last curtain falls,

The last sunset,

and the last spring thaw…

Far above and beyond any thing that ever was,

is or will be,

God’s love supersedes them all.

For it is with enduring love,

That God stands by you and me,

Setting us free,

Eternally.

Red Carpet of Love

Choosing a path of heart healing,

I go within to “face the music,”

Walking with God on a Red Carpet of Love.

Repairing my once damaged,

Source connection,

I reclaim the music and the magic,

Regaining harmony, peace, joy, beauty and love,

To go the distance.

Keeping to God’s Red Carpet of Love,

Reaffirming, working and ever intending to,

“Face the music” within,

With faith, forgiveness,

Love and acceptance,

I tap into the music and the magic,

Of my own soulful spirit.

In awed and humble gratitude,

For God’s Red Carpet,

My heart sings,

And the song is Love.
