Rest Easy and Long

I can’t save my family,

I can’t save the world.

In God’s love rest easy, rest long…

Try as I may,

I can’t hold back the breaking dawn.

Rest easy my child, rest long…

All my fruitless pushing and pleading,

Won’t cause a tidal wave’s receding.

Pointless worry, wasted effort and time,

On unknown reason and rhyme?

In God’s love come rest your head,

Rest easy, rest long…

Knowing you are blessed!

Take away my security, my home,

My strength and my song,

Leave me on the street for dead,

Disregard all I’ve ever done or said,

For I know God’s love carries on.

And only in God’s love,

Do I rest easy and long…

Let Love Be the Limit

They say the sky’s the limit,

But when you let love be the limit,

Then the sky itself cracks open wide,

And all things hoped for,

Come falling down like rain…

Tiny crystalized diamond  tear drops,

Faith’s substance,

Reflecting the light,

Behind your wide open

Spiritual eyes.

“Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”

-Gilda Patricia

Eternal Love

You don’t have to walk,

A thousand more miles,

Chase a thousand more mirages,

Break a thousand more hearts,

Lose a thousand more dreams,

Write a thousand more sonnets,

Sing a thousand more ballets,

Live a thousand more empty lives…

Eternal love is here now with you.

See it, feel it, live it,

And with every breath, breathe it.

No other truth will rise above,

And supersede it,

Unless, lies you feed it.

But you no longer need it!

So keep your heart crystal clear and new…

Shining with the light of Everlasting Love in you.

The Ah Ha! Moment

Poetry does nothing,

But sometimes it moves us…

Like a sunrise or a song,

Or falling in love.

That ah ha! moment hitting us is

The Holy Spirit moving through us,

In all his glory, each time shifting

Our perceptions,

Unlocking one more door inside our hearts,

Melting one more frozen heart layer…

And finally when all the layers of lies and

Untruth are peeled away,

What’s left but a beating heart,

Fresh and pure as the driven snow,

And just as silent.

A Spiritual Quest

Time spent here is just experience lived.

Have we gained wisdom?

Have we learned compassion…

For ourselves, for others?

Good!  Then you’re progressing fine.

Time cannot run out.

Success has nothing to do with the length of

Your mortality or the state of your physicality.

Spirit asks, “What have you learned of love?

What is your golden rule, faith or fear?

Who is your God, body or Spirit?”

Need more time to learn?  No worry!

Soul’s are eternal and so is your life…

On love’s infinite spiritual quest,

You are always access approved.

There’s a fine art to

Being polite and authentic,

At the same time…

Drawing outside the lines,

Without stepping on anyone’s toes?

But only doing “as is expected…”

Stopping at predetermined red lights,

And moving when they say go,

Stunts our personal freedom,

To live and grow,

Putting a shade over life’s

Intuitive inner glow…

Freely being ourselves would surely

Throw some messy incongruity

Into otherwise stagnant spaces…

Mixing things up,

Firing off synapses,

Causing seeds to become wildflowers.

Stirring up all kinds of trouble…

For those who prefer plastic roses,

To the real thing.

God’s Time

All we wish for will come to us…

In God’s way and

In God’s time.

Trust our heavenly Father

Knows Best…

When there seems no reason or rhyme,

Remember the seasons of life ebb and flow.

When you’re tired of towing the line,

Take a breather and a rest,

Let your intuition be your guide.

Have a question or a wish?

Get a feeling, follow a sign,

Be leery of quick fixes and rout replies,

Honor life’s multi-layers and multi-facets.

To avoid being misled,

Trust your own “inner knowing”…

Remember, the heart will lead you to the place

Where miracles, grace and mercy abound.
